Here on the Kent Island Sea Monkeys we don't ask for much be the following things:
If you are going to be on the team, you're going to need to show up to a few games. We play 3-4 games a year to keep down on the financial stress paintball tends to bring about. If you can't make all 3-4 games, that's fine. We ask that you just show up to the games you say you will. When you commit, we count you in and flip flopping just doesn't work well when doing a head count.
You've found the forums and registered if you are viewing this. We ask that you post up once a month just to let us know you're still here and interested in being part of the team. This also gives you the opportunity to converse with the rest of the team. It makes no sense for the captains to know all the players and none of the players knowing any of the other players.
We are a drug free team. We have a youth group in development and cannot serve as peers to today's youth if we are partaking in illegal activities. It is bad for us, the youth we look after and the sponsors we represent.
I don't know if you noticed, but we do not mandate specific equipment, jerseys, or team dues. We do not have mandatory practices or anything of the sort. We did this to make it that much easier of a choice to join the team. Just come out, have some fun 3 or 4 times a year and enjoy paintball with good people.
